Govt Officials locked in house by villagers
Nashik, Jul 16 (UNI) Citizens of Takli village in Nandgaon taluka of the district today locked some officials in a house for fulfillment of their demand of water tankers for the village.
According to sources, some government officials including the Talathi, Gramsevak and others had gone for the 'Gramasthadin', a meeting to take stock of the problems, in Takli village of Nandgaon taluka of the district today.
On the occasion, the villagers locked these officials in a house.
The act was done in protest of the government's inaction to provide water tankers to the village even after frequent demands.
The officials were locked in the house for nearly two hours. After assurance by a senior official to provide water tankers to the village, the villagers released them.
