Youth gets 10 yrs imprisonment for raping minor

Sangli, Maharashtra, Jul 15 (UNI) A local court today sentenced a 22-year-old youth to ten years imprisonment for raping a seven-year-old girl on October 10 last year.

District Sessions Judge Rajendra Jadhav found Sharad Pralhad Waghmare alias Pintu guilty of the crime and awarded the sentence.

Waghmare lured the minor by promising to give her sweets and raped her. He was a resident of Kadepur village in Kadegaon tehsil of the district, police said.
