India Inc supports UPA's Nuke Deal to the hilt
Bangalore, Jul 14 (UNI) The Indian Industry will clearly benefit from a better power supply situation, which has been the key challenge to the economy and in this perspective, the nuclear deal with the US is good, Confederation of Indian Industry President K V Kamath said today.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function organised by CII South Region, he said if the nuclear deal opens up the possibility of civilian nuclear energy for the industry sector, it would be a major step towards meeting the key challenge of energy security.
''The nuclear deal, if you look at the phraseology, is for civilian use. This to me is the biggest benefit for the power sector. Indian industry will clearly benefit from this as power is one of the key challenges the industry faces today. Nuclear power is for our good,'' he said.
