Lucknow, Jul 12 (UNI) Even as Dr Rajesh Talwar, the prime accused in Aarushi murder case was given a clean chit by the BI and also released from Dasna jail today, the Uttar Pradesh government is ''reluctant'' to take any action against the police officers, who had apprehended the doctor and the father of the deceased while investigating the case.

The then IG of Police (Merrut Zone) Gurdarshan Singh and SSP of Guatambudh Nagar Satish Ganesh, who had been removed by the state government for allegedly assassinating the teenager's character, will not face any immediate action, highly placed government sources said.

The 14-year-old Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj were killed on May 15 and the Noida police had arrested her father Rajesh Talwar as the prime accused after few days of investigation.

As there were so many fingers pointed at the veracity of investigation, Chief Minister Mayawati recommended the CBI probe into the case and had announced the officers would be taken to task if their investigation found awry.

In fact, the role of Noida police had come under severe scanner after CBI said the evidences were destroyed during the probe and proved the UP police wrong by declaring their prime suspect Dr Rajesh Talwar as innocent and arrested Rajkumar, Krishna and Mandal for the brutal murders.

Meanwhile, Dr Talwar was released after spending over 50 days in Jail.

''We are still to see if the clean chit to Dr Talwar and involvement of two servants- Mandal and Rajkumar- and Compounder Krishna is well corroborated with evidences,'' the UP government sources said.

Adding the UP police officials could not be held wrong unless and until the CBI fully probe the case.

The sources also said it was too early to declare Noida police wrong and CBI arguements conclusive as CBI had not yet produced clinching evidences in support of their claim and recover the murder weapon. ''As of now, it would be ''unjust'' to take any action against the erring officials,'' they said.

Interestingly, after being removed from the post of SSP Noida, Satish Ganesh was included in the prestigious Chief Minister's Task Force and Mr Gurdarshan Singh was posted as IG, Railways.

Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare Renuka Choudhary had issued the notice to UP government objecting the ''irresponsible'' remarks of IG Gurdarshan Singh over Aarushi's character.

However, the IG had pleaded before the government that he had nothing to do with the probe and was invited to the Press Conference by the SSP and whatever he had said was based on the facts furnished by the district police chief of Noida.
