Minor killed, 15 injured in road mishap

Bangaon, Jul 12 (UNI) A minor was killed and 15 others were injured, some of them seriously, when a truck carrying a marraige party overturned on the Bangaon-Chakdah road under Gopalpur police station in North 24 Parganas district today.

Police said the accident occurred when the truck overturned leaving almost all its passengers, including a four-year-old child, injured on their way back home to Bankimnagar in Nadia district from College para here.

The injured were rushed to Bangaon sub-divisional hospital where the child was declared dead. The truck was seized, police added.
