Landmine recovered in Jammu outskirts

Jammu, Jul 12 (UNI) Police averted a major tragedy last evening when they recovered and defused a landmine in the outskirts of Jammu city , official sources said here today.

''During search operation launched by the police at Papgor camp of the Satwari belt, they found the landmine. The area is close to the border,'' police sources said.

However, a bomb disposal squad was informed, who rushed to the spot and defused the landmine, the police added.
