3 Education Department officials suspended in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 9: Concerned over the reports about teachers and other officials of Education Department not attending their duties properly, the Director Elementary Education (DEE) has launched a massive drive to conduct surprise checks of different educational institutions.

Official sources said a team of senior officers headed by DEE today inspected various educational institutions and took stock of the educational system.

The team while inspecting the Higher Secondary School, Tral found Surinder Singh, of Teacher, Bashir Ahmad Mir, Physical Education Teacher and Mehmood Dar, Orderly absent from duty.

All the absentees were later suspended on-the-spot, they said.
