Rodrigues takes stock of work of projects at Sarangpur

Chandigarh, Jul 9 (UNI) Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator, General (Retd.) S F Rodrigues today visited Sarangpur in the union territory and took stock of work undertaken for different projects, including Education City, Equesterian Academy, Film City and Amusement Park.

The Administrator went round the area and discussed with officers the framework and road map for creation of physical and supportive infrastructure and provision of various services for the citizens.

He told them to simultaneously undertake plantation of flowering and ornamental trees and landscaping work to improve the environment of the area.

General Rodrigues discussed the construction of colleges in the Education City. He told the Finance Secretary and the Chief Engineer to simultaneously undertake the construction of hostels for the students and residential accommodation for the staff.

General Rodrigues also visited the Government Printing Press and International Hostel in the city and discussed with officers the scope of introducing some social activities in their campuses for optimum utilization of space.

He asked the Finance Secretary to constitute a team of officers to suggests ways and means for maximum utility of these government building complexes.
