Delhi CM seeks Mukhi's cooperation in making Kanwar Yatra successful

New Delhi, Jul 9 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today wrote to the Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Jagdish Mukhi for making the 'Kanwar Yatra' successful.

In her letter, the Chief Minister said, ''It is essential that we must cooperate to make the 'Yatra' successful.'' Ms Dikshit sought suggestions and information from Dr Mukhi about any difficulty that might come in the way of providing facilities to Kanwarias for enabling to make the 'Yatra' smooth and successful.

She has requested Dr Mukhi to apprise contents of the letter to his fellow legislatures.

''All of us will be able to make 'Kanwar Yatra' successful this time also like previous years. This has become symbol of our social harmony,'' she wrote in the letter.

The Chief Minister said a number of organisations have been conducting camps for 'Kanwarias'.

Congress MLA Ramakant Goswami has also addressed a similar letter to his party colleagues in the Assembly.
