10-yr-old succumbs to rain-related disease, toll rises to 39
Mumbai, Jul 8 (UNI) A 10-year-old boy died of malaria here today, taking the toll of rain-related deaths to 39 since the onset of the monsoon this year.
According to civic officials, the child was admitted to Rajawadi Hospital on July 4 with Malaria.
In the last 24 hours, as many as 262 people were admitted to various civic-run hospitals for various rain-related diseases. Of them 141 have been admitted with fever, 69 with gastroenteritis, seven with leptospirosis, four with Dengue and 41 with Malaria, the officials added.
