Retail prices of farm commodities show mixed trend
New Delhi, Jul 7 (UNI) Retail prices of farm commodities generally remained steady or have shown mixed trend over the week ending June 27, 2008.
As monitored by the Department of Consumer Affairs at different locations, prices of wheat remained steady at all reporting centers, except an increase in Bhopal during the period.
Prices of sugar remained steady at all the reporting centers except for an increase in Shimla and Mumbai.
Prices of gram dal remained steady at all the reporting centers except for an increase in Mumbai, Agartala and Bangalore and decreased in Delhi.
Prices of tur dal remained steady at all reporting centers except for an increase in Delhi, Agartala, Bhubaneshwar and Hyderabad and decreased at Bangalore.
In Delhi, price of wheat, atta and mustard oil, milk and salt held steady for one week. Price of sugar held steady for one year.
Prices of rice increased from Rs 19 to Rs 20 per kg, tur dal from Rs 42 to Rs 43 per kg, vansapati from Rs. 73 to Rs. 74 per kg, tea from Rs 120 to Rs 121 kg and onion from Rs 9 kg to Rs 10 kg.
Price of gram dal decreased from Rs 35 to Rs 34.50 per kg, groundnut oil from Rs 123 to Rs 122 per kg and potato from Rs 9.50 to Rs 9 per kg, according to an official release here today.
