Militant's plan to cause blasts foiled, 30 kg RDX recovered

Srinagar Jul 6 (UNI) Security forces foiled a militant plan to carry out blasts in the north Kashmir when they busted a hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition, including deadly RDX and grenades, official sources said today.

They said Special Operation Group (SOG), 45 batallion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and 29 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) launched a joint operation at Gotipora Check Seeri, Pattan, in Baramulla district following a tip-off that militants had stored RDX and other arms in a hideout to cause blasts.

During the operation, security forces finally smashed the hideout in the house of one Mohammad Ramzan Pandit.

The arms and ammunition recovered included 30 kg RDX, four Chinese grenades, 150 AK rounds, three batteries with circuits and four kg grease.
