Mumbai, July 4 (UNI) A local court today rejected the Anticipatory Bail Application (ABA) of Dr Raghunath Kapse, former Deputy Commissioner of Police, facing charges of misappropriation of police housing fund to the tune of Rs 16 crore.
Rejecting the application, the Additional Session Court Judge R U Deshmukh said a prima facie case had been made out from the evidence produced before the court.

At least 350 police personnel have filed complaints against Dr Kapse for misappropriation of police housing society fund. The low-cost housing project for police constables was in Ghatkopar (East).
They have alleged that Dr Kapse had taken loans from banks on their name to give them a low-cost house at Ghatkopar, After paying instalment of the loan amount, many of them had yet to get the possession of flats.
Dr Kapse had filed an application on the directive of the Bombay High Court.
