Will Ferrell, Sacha Baron Cohen team up for Sherlock Holmes film

London, July 3 : Actors Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen have been signed on to star in the comedy version of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes.

According to Variety, British actor Cohen would be seen in the lead role of the legendary detective and Ferrell would be playing Holmes' friend and biographer Dr. Watson

The film would be helmed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Warner Bros.

"Just the idea of Sacha and Will as Sherlock Holmes and Watson makes us laugh," The Sun quoted Matt Tolmach co-president, Columbia Pictures, as saying.

"Sacha and Will are two of the funniest and most talented guys on the planet, and having them take on these two iconic characters is frankly hilarious," he added.
