New UFO witness reopens 1970s 'Welsh Roswell' mystery
London, July 2 : One of Britain's greatest UFO riddles reopened when a new witness emerged - 34 years after the alleged 'close encounter'.
The Government is said to have covered up 1974's event in North Wales, where scores of residents reported a massive tremor, strange lights in the sky in an incident dubbed the 'Welsh Roswell'.
Retired gamekeeper Geraint Edwards, of Llandderfel, Denbighshire, told the makers of a new Channel Five documentary that he saw a hovering 'flying saucer' before it disappeared into space at impossible speed.
"It looked like a rugger ball," The Sun quoted Edwards, as saying.
Witnesses claimed that the aliens crashed in the Berwyn mountains, North Wales.
Geraint's friend Pat Evans told of a 'bright orb'.
