TTD to honour staff, tab at Rs 10.36 cr

Tirupati, July 2 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams' (TTD) decision to honour all its working and retired employees as part of its Diamond Jubilee celebrations will cause an additional financial burden of more than Rs 10.36 crore on the Trust's exchequer for 2008-09.

The TTD, in its recent meeting, had decided to present Rs 5,000 and five gm gold dollar each to 9,100 odd employees and Rs 1,000 each to 3,500 odd retired employees.

The TTD would distribute copper dollars with TTDs 'Amruthotsavam' emblem to all the visiting devotees. This would involve additional expenditure.
