Punjab police constable commits suicide inside police station

Ludhiana, Jul 2 (UNI) A Punjab police constable allegedly committed suicide inside the police station at Dakha in the district this evening.

According to police sources, the constable identified as Shahbeg Singh, used a rope to hang himself from a ceiling fan inside the police station.

The reason for the suicide was not yet known as no note was recovered from the deceased constable, who was residing with his family inside the police station premises.

A case has been registered and investigation is being conducted.
