Anbazhagan criticises Student Cong's bandh

Puducherry,July 2 (UNI)AIADMK Puducherry unit Secretary A Anbazhagan today urged the Chief Secretary who is also the Home Secretary of that state to take immediate steps to thwart the students Congress sponsored bandh here tomorrow.

Addressing a press conference here Mr Anbazhagan criticised the Congress party for calling a bandh tomorrow to condemn the Chief Secretary when issues such as scarcity of petrol and confusion in plus one admissions had to be resolved.

Mr.Anbazhagan said the allegation against the Chief Secretary that he had made an objectionable remark against the council of ministers was baseless and added that if he had really stated so he could be removed within one hour, since there was Congress rule both at the Centre and Puducherry.

He said the bandh was unwarranted and the AIADMK opposed it and wondered whether the students Congress was under the control of the Congress party and the government under Chief Minsiter N.Rangasamy.

Mr.Anbazhagan also wanted the DMK to clarify it's stand on the Chief Secretary issue.None of the ministers had lodged a complaint with the privilege committee and only legislators of DMK and CPI had lodged complaints,he pointed out.
