Youth Cong condemns Kerala Govt brutalities
Kochi, June 28 (UNI) Youth Congress National Secretary Nanmar Karbak today condemned the Kerala Government for treating the Kerala Students Union (KSU) activists and fellow workers, protesting for the withdrawal of a controversial class VII textbook, as 'militants'.
Speaking to reporters here, he alleged that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government was trying to attack the agitators by using police and DYFI workers.
The protests were for a just cause as the textbook propagated ''atheism and anti-religious sentiments'', which were against the interests of the students and the society, Mr Karbak said.
He said hundreds of KSU and Youth Congress workers, who sustained injuries in police "brutalities", were admitted to various hospitals across the State.
