Baalu sanctions Rs 20 crore for road repair on NH-91 in UP
New Delhi, June 27 (UNI) Union Shipping, Road Transport and Highways Minister T R Baalu has approved a sum of Rs 2,051.42 lakh for road repair works on different stretches of the Ghaziabad-Kanpur Road on NH-91, an important highway, in Uttar Pradesh.
The funds have been given under the Improvement of Riding Quality Programme (IRQP).
The national highway starts from Ghaziabad and ends at Rama Devi crossing in Kanpur. In certain stretches, the bituminous surface of the road is badly damaged due to heavy traffic resulting in potholes and patches on the existing carriageway.
