BJP trying to 'saffronise' education: Cong leader
Mysore, Jun 26 (UNI) Senior Congress leader and former Minister H Vishwanath charged the BJP government in Karnataka with trying to saffronise education system in the state.
Addressing the press conference here today, Mr Vishwanath, who was also the Former Karnataka Education Minister, accused the BJP Government with trying to rewrite History syllabus and distorting facts.
Mr Vishwanath said the government, ''guided by its frontal organisations, including the RSS,' had taken initiatives to distort historical facts in the subject.
Asking the government to make public its ideas on development of Primary and Higher Education in its proposed blueprint, Mr Vishwanath alleged BJP was only interested in History syllabus, 'to impose its version on the public.' UNI BSP MV SV VC1750
