Youth kidnapped for ransom

Nashik, Jun 24 (UNI) A 28-year-old youth has been allegedly kidnapped for a ransom of Rs five lakh.

Shailesh Chauhan, resident of Sainagar society, Panchavati, left for Aurangabad to meet his friend Parmar on June 22. When he did not return in the evening, his worried parents tried to contact him, according to police sources.

On the next day, his parents received a call from Shailesh. He informed them that he had been abducted by some people and they were demanding Rs five lakh for his safe release.

This call was followed by calls from his friend Parmar and Dilip Seth. They were allegedly demanding Rs five lakh for Shailesh's release and threatening to kill him in case of failure to do so.

Rajbahadur Chouhan, father of Shailesh, lodged a complaint with Panchavati police yesterday. A case has been registered against Parmar from Mumbai and Dilip Sheth from Nizamabad.

Shailesh, Parmar and Dilip are all industrial oil suppliers.
