Widespread corruption in welfare schemes in NDA govt:RJD
Patna, Jun 24 (UNI) RJD today alleged that there was widespread corruption in implementation of various welfare and development schemes in Bihar despite tall claims of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of providing good governance.
National general secretary of the party Shyam Rajak said here that during the Janta Durbar yesterday, district board members had complained to Mr Kumar about the prevailing corruption in execution of various welfare schemes in the state.
''Bare facts about the prevailing corruption in execution of various welfare schemes brought before the Chief Minister by district board members are indication of how deep rooted is the corruption in state administration,'' Mr Rajak said adding anti-corruption drive launched by the state vigilance bureau had not caught the ''big fish'' so far.
The RJD leader said the elected representatives were not being given due respect by the officers and there was several such instances where MLAs and MPs were humiliated by the officials during the Nitish Kumar regime.
''It is ironical that Mr Kumar bothered to lend his ears to the public representatives after 30 months of assuming the office,'' he said.
