Industrialist Vijay Sankeshwar took oath as member of Council

Bangalore, Jun 24(UNI) Three-time Lok Sabha member and industrialist Vijay Sankeshwar has taken oath as the member of the Karnataka Legislative Council here today.

Mr Sankeshwar's name was recommended by the state government among five from nominated category to the Karnataka Legislative Council on June 20th and oath as the member of the upper house today.

As soon as the house assembled today, Prof B K Chandrashekhar, who was on the chair had invited Mr Sankeshwar to take oath as the member of the house.

It may be recalled that state government had recommended five people to the Upper House from the nominated category including Dodda Rangegowda (Literature), Dore Swamy (Education), Dr Mumtaz Ali Khan (Education) and H R Leela (Education) recognising their service rendered to the society. All the four have taken oath as the members of the house yesterday.
