DDA to register architects for issuing residential permits

New Delhi, Jun 24 (UNI) The Delhi Development Authority has decided to register architects, who are registered with the Council of Architecture, for issuing residential building permits for plots.

It would be applicable for the plots of size up to 500 sq m and falling in the areas notified as Development Area of the DDA.

The registered architects/licentiates will sanction the building permits as per prescribed procedure, which will be accepted by the DDA as 'Deemed Sanction', a DDA spokesperson said.

''It would be after paying all requisite building plan fee and other prescribed charge, among others, under the provisions of the Master Plan, Zonal Plan, Building Bye-Laws and Gazette Notifications issued from time to time,'' he added.

For projects under Government and Local Bodies, the officers of the rank of Senior Architects and above of the concerned Department, may sanction building plans.

The copies of such sanctioned building plans, along with other requirement, should be filed with the Building Section of DDA for 'Deemed Approval', the spokesperson added.
