Courier firm employee robbed of Rs 21 lakh in Surat
Surat, Jun 24 (UNI) An employee of a local courier company was today robbed of Rs 21 lakh when he was travelling in an autorickshaw.
Shankerji Babuji, an employee with Rama Mohan Angadia service, was travelling with a bag containing Rs 21 lakh in cash in an autorickshaw this afternoon.
There were three other persons travelling in the same autorickshaw.The three offered Shankerji some eatables after eating which the latter lost consciousness. Shankerji was abandoned and the miscreants fled in the vehicle along with the cash.
Some passersby spotted Shankerji lying unconscious and rushed him to a hospital. After gaining consciousness, the police recorded Shankerji's statement.
