Couple killed in car-lorry collision

Vellore, June 24 (UNI) A couple was killed when their car collided with a lorry at Chithanji in this district on the Chennai-Bangalore national highway, today.

Police said the mishap occurred when Malathi (55) dozed off while driving the car and collided with a lorry, coming in the opposite direction.

Both Malathi and her husband Sivaramakrishnan (65), living at Thiruvanmiyur in Chennai, died on the spot.
