BJP leader Ram Prakash Tripathi passses away
Farrukhabad, Jun 24 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader and former minister Ram Prakash Tripathi passed away following a cardiac arrest at his residence in Chibramau area of Kannuaj district late last night.
He was 74 and is survived by a daughter.
Tripathi had been an MP from Kannuaj seat, besides holding a post of vice president in BJP. He was also elected as MLA four times.
Tripathi was cremated in the early hours at the bank of river Ganga here.
UP BJP president Dr Ramapati Tripathi expressed grief over his demise and announced closure of all official and agitational works for a day.
BJP party leaders, including BJP state unit president Nagendra Nath, senior officials and others reached at his native place and paid tributes to him.
