3 container wagons of goods train derail
Godhra, Jun 24 (UNI) Three container wagons of a goods train derailed at Godhra Railway station on track number seven under the broad gauge section in the jurisdiction of Ratlam division today.
The goods train was on its way to Mumbai from Delhi, when the accident occurred at 0700 hrs.
The train, carrying the containers from Delhi, was to be offloaded at Mumbai.
Three wagons jumped off the track and derailed, railway sources said.
Ten officials led by Assistant Divisional Railway Manager from Vadodara reached the accident site to get the first hand report of the accident.
The railway workers along with hydraulic cranes swung into action to clear the track.
However, the accident did not affect the normal traffic since it happened on track number seven, some of the trains including Frontier mail is running half an hour late. A detailed inquiry would be conducted by the railway authorities, the sources said.
