Two held with fake currency in Navsari

Surat, Jun 23 (UNI) Two people were arrested with fake currency worth Rs 50,000 by the Navasari crime branch sleuths.

Acting on a tipoff, the officials nabbed Vijay Patel and Mukesh Nayak, when Vijay was selling around 500 fake currency notes in denomination of Rs 100 to the latter, in exchange for Rs 35,000, yesterday.

The fake notes were printed through colour photo copying machine, police said.

Later, both the accused were brought to Surat police crime branch. Police is suspecting handiwork of a well organised gang in the racket.
