TN CM launches 'Raj News 24x7'

Chennai, June 23 (UNI) Private Satellite Channel Raj TV today launched its 24-hour Tamil News Channel 'Raj News 24x7,' a free-to-air channel.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi launched the channel at function held at a city hotel in the presence of Raj Television Network Limited Director M Raveendran.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Raveendran said it would be a dedicated new channel covering a wide range of programmes, including stock markets, business, current affairs, health,food, education, career, achievers, kid show among others.

''Apart from instant news updates, this will be the first Tamil news channel to bring live stock market updates and stand alone programmes on business and stock markets to cater to the needs of thousands of Tamil speaking investors in the country,'' he claimed.

The bouquet of programmes include ''Hello Sandhai'' (Hi Markets) and ''Sandhai Neram'' (Market Time) on stock markets on all weekdays during trading hours.

A 24-hour news and business channel would also be launched in Telugu shortly.
