Revenue Inspector sentensed on bribery charges
Bangalore, Jun 23 (UNI) A Revenue Inspector of Uttar Kannada District was today sentenced to 18 months of simple imprisonment by a Karwar court on bribery charges.
A Lokayukta press release said that the District and Sessions Court sentenced Revenue Inspector Jagdish K Shenvi and also slapped a fine of Rs 2000 for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1400 from a person to recommend the issue of a Gun Licence during the year 1998.
