No party will be allowed to ''vitiate'' Amarnath Yatra: BJP
Jammu, Jun 23 (UNI) The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jammu and Kashmir today said the party, under no situation, would allow any political party to ''vitiate'' the Amarnath Yatra and accused the Congress, PDP and the National Conference of resorting to ''double speak'' and politics of deceit and emotions.'' BJP state president Ashok Khajuria, in a statement here, claimed NC patron Farooq Abdullah and PDP Chief Mufti Mohd Sayeed as ''chips of the same block'' and warned the NC not to arouse popular passions in Kashmir over the ongoing Yatra.
''It is height of political debauchery that Dr Abdullah says one thing in Jammu and exactly the opposite in Kashmir,'' Mr Khajuria said, adding Dr Abdullah supported the decision to transfer 800 kanals of land to the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), but took u-turn in Kashmir saying if the NC would come to power, it would not only withdraw the cabinet decision but also see to it that those who took this decision were booked and thrown behind the bars.
''The BJP would, under no situation, allow the Congress, the PDP and the NC to spoil the Yatra. The party cadres will come on the roads to defeat the nefarious game plan of all these pseudo secular parties, which are no different from the fundamentalist and separatist organisations,'' Mr Khajuria added.
However, Mr Khajuria blamed the NC for the killing of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, who defied the obnoxious permit system in May 1953 and laid down his life for the cause of the nation.
