Nigeria may offer more oil blocks to India
New Delhi, Jun 23: Petroleum Secretary M S Srinivasan on Monday, June 23 said the government has held discussions with Nigeria to acquire more oil and gas fields.
"We have discussed 'briefly' with Nigeria on getting oil blocks there," Mr Srinivasan told reporters here on the sidelines of a conference here. Petroleum Minister Murli Deora had talked with the Nigerian authority in this regard yesterday at the Energy Ministers' Meeting in Jeddah . As many as 38 countries, including the US, the UK and China, four international organisations and 30 oil companies attended the Meeting.
