Controlling inflation is responsibility of Centre: Vijaywargiya
Barwani, MP, June 23 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh PWD Minister Kailash Vijaywargiya has said it is the responsibility of the Centre to control spiralling inflation.
Mr Vijaywargiya made the statement while replying to question by reporters over Congress President Sonia Gandhi suggesting state governments to take steps to rein in inflation.
He said it appeared that Ms Gandhi had read out from a written speech.
Pointing out that law and order situation and condition of roads, electricity and water had deteriorated during the 10-year Congress rule, he said various development works and schemes launched by the BJP government had left the Congress sans issues.
Mr Vijaywargiya claimed that the BJP would gain majority during the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh.
On party ticket being cut in the state on the lines of Gujarat, he said ticket was given on the basis of performance. Tickets would be provided after assessing performance of legislators this time also.
On the effect of the BSP in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP leader said effect of third party would be negligible due to polarisation between the Congress and the BJP.
