Central Bank net up by 16.6 pc at Rs 594.60 cr

New Delhi, Jun 23: The Central Bank of India on Monday, June 23 said its net profit has surged 16.6 per cent to Rs 594.60 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 509.56 crore in the corresponding period previous year.

The Group's total income also increased 30.8 per cent to Rs 8,804.55 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 6,729.93 crore in the previous fiscal.
