Bomb hoax at Chawri Bazar Metro station

New Delhi, Jun 23 (UNI) A bomb scare at the Chawri Bazar Metro station led to panic this evening.

Police received a call that a bomb has been placed at the Metro station around 2000 hrs. ''So far we have not found anything...the station was evacuated as a precautionary measure,'' a Delhi Metro spokesperson told UNI.

In the past weeks, several such calls have been received by police and DMRC control room, resulting in delay in train operations and evacuation of premises.

Police teams were making final checks before allowing commuters to enter the station.
