200 ambulances for government hospitals

Bhopal, June 23 (UNI) In order to strengthen emergency response system, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to provide 200 ambulances to government hospitals in 16 districts this year.

The state health committee has given clearance for purchasing the ambulances in two phases at a cost of Rs 17.12 crore.

A casualty centre is being developed at J P Hospital in the state capital, while trauma centres will be set up at Chhindwara and other important centres, official sources said.
