18-yr-old musician aims for world record in UP
Agra, Jun 23: Aiming to see his name in ''Guinness Book of World Records'', eighteen-year-old Akash has been continuously strumming the strings of his guitar since yesterday morning with the target of breaking world record of 44 hours.
Akash started playing the guitar at 1030 hrs yesterday and entertained people with his immense talent.
Beginning the event with ''Itni shakti hume dena data,'' ''Sare jahan se acha, Hindostan hamara,'' the teenager also mesmerised people with film songs and ghazals of veteran singer Jagjit Singh.
''Huntho se chulo tum'' repeatedly echoed from his musical instrument.
According to event organisers, a Guinness team had already arrived here from London to monitor the junior talent, who was continuously playing the guitar with undeterred courage, however, friut of his labour were left to God's will.
Earlier, on a June 16, 2005, Brain Ainglin Hart played the guitar without breaks for 44 hours, however, Akash also claimed to have played the guitar for 52 hours at the age of 12.
