22-year-old scooterist killed by speeding Blueline
New Delhi, Jun 20 (UNI) A 22-year-old youth became the latest victim of killer Blueline buses in the capital today.
Akmal, riding a scooter, was hit by a speeding Blueline plying on route no 85 (Anand Vihar to Punjabi Bagh) on Tilak Marg area of New Delhi district at about 1630 hrs, police said.
He was rushed to the R M L Hospital where he died.
Akmal, who works in a private company, was on Barakhamba Road and on his way towards Connaught Place when the accident took place.
The driver of the bus fled from the scene leaving the bus.
The bus had been impounded and hunt to arrest the absconding driver has started, the police added.
