Marine police nabs five-member gang

Kakinada, Jun 19 (UNI) The Kakinada marine police today nabbed a five-member gang involved in theft of engine oil, nylon ropes and other articles from the mechanised boats anchored in the fishing harbour and other areas off the Kakinada coast.

Marine police station SI, Y R K Srinivas told UNI that Rs one lakh worth engine oil and nylon rope were seized from the possession of the accused.

All of them, from the fishermen community in the port city, were remanded to judicial custody.
