Country's April infrastructure output up by 3.6% YoY

New Delhi, Jun 18 (UNI) Country's infrastructure sector output grew by 3.6 per cent in April as compared to 5.9 per cent a year earlier, far slower than 9.6 per cent (provisional) in March, government data showed today.

Output rose to an annual 5.9 per cent in April 2007, and in the FY07-08 it rose 5.6 per cent from a year earlier.

The infrastructure sector accounts for 26.68 per cent of the country's total industrial output.
