KEC International wins Rs 160 Crore contract from NESCL in Jharkhand
New Delhi, Jun 17 (UNI) KEC International Ltd. today said it has bagged a contract worth Rs 160 Crore from NTPC Electric supply Company Limited (NESCL), in the state of Jharkhand.
This is the largest single value order awarded under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) scheme till date and second for the company from Jharkhand, the company said in a statement.
The work invloves Rural Electrification on turnkey basis in Dumka district of the state.
The scope of work involves electrification of 1454 villages, providing two lakh BPL service connections and fourteen 33/11 kv new/augmentation substations to be completed by December 2009, it added.
