BPCL Q4 net at Rs 58 cr, declares 40 pc dividend
New Delhi, Jun 17 (UNI) Country's second largest state oil refiner, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) today said its net profit witnessed a whopping decline of 91.2 per cent to Rs 58.40 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 670 crore in the same period previous year.
The total income however, increased 34 per cent to Rs 32,712.90 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 24,400.50 crore for the same period last year.
The Company's net profit declined 12.4 per cent to Rs 1,580.60 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 1,805.50 crore for the corresponding period previous year.
The total income increased 13.7 per cent to Rs 11,1786.20 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 98,312.70 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007.
The Group's net profit fell 17.5 per cent to Rs 1769.60 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 2145.20 crore for the corresponding period previous year.
The total income surged 13.4 per cent to Rs 112410.40 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 99107.80 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007.
The board has declared a dividend of 40 pc, at the rate of Rs four on shares of face value of Rs 10, for 2007-8.
