Pondy panel's visit to West Bengal postponed

Puducherry, Jun 14 (UNI) The proposed tour of the Estimates Committee and Public Accounts Committee of the Territorial Assembly to West Bengal tomorrow has been postponed indefinitely.

According to a communique from the Puducherry Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the tour had been postponed on a request from the West Bengal Legislative Assembly Secretariat in view of the tense situation prevailing in that State.

It may be noted that the members of the two committees (22 Legislators, including six Ministers) were slated to leave on a ten-day tour to West Bengal tomorrow.
