Ripun Bora suspended from Congress' primary membership
Guwahati, Jun 7 (UNI) Sacked Assam Education Minister Ripun Bora was today suspended from the primary membership of the Congress.
He was suspended by Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) chief Bhubaneswar Kalita.
Mr Bora was arrested in New Delhi on June three while offering a bribe of Rs ten lakh to a CBI official investigating the murder of student leader Daniel Topno in 2000 in which the former was implicated.
Mr Bora was the state government spokesman and one of the most powerful Ministers in the Assam Cabinet.
