3 sentenced to life for killing witness

Gorakhpur, Jun 7 (UNI) A local city pronounced life terms for three people, accused of killing a double murder case witness.

Additional Sessions Judge J K Tiwari yesterday handed down the punishment to Hardev Yadav, Yadunandan Yadav and Sheshnath Yadav after they were found guilty in the case.

The trio are residents of the Jhagha area here.

On June 21, 2001, Brahmdev was intercepted by five people -- Hardev Yadav, Yadunandan, Sheshnath, Anil and Dayaram -- and shot dead.

Besides, life sentences, the court slapped a fine of Rs 8,000 on each of them.

However, Anil's case was in Juvenile court, whereas Dayaram was still at large.
