Political parties call for 'bandh' against fuel price hike
Ranchi, Jun 6 (UNI) Various political parties have strongly protested the price hike of petroleum products with the CPI(ML) calling for a statewide 'bandh' tomorrow.
Besides, the Jharkhand BJP had called for a statewide 'bandh' on June 10.
CPI(ML) state secretary Shubhendu Sen today said sufferings of the common people would be compounded, following the recent price hike.
'' People are in a soup now because prices of the essentials are skyrocketing everyday, '' Mr Sen said.
BJP spokesperson Biranchi Narain said emergency services would remain uneffected during the strike.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Madhu Koda was having hectic parlayes with senior Ministers and officials to find out ways to lower sales tax on the petro products in the state.
