Faizabad court blast case: Security hightened for hearing
Faizabad, Jun 6 (UNI) After the manhandling incident of accused's lawyer by his fellow colleagues, security cover has been tightenend in the court precincts here for tomorrow's hearing into the Faizabad court blast case.
Four accused terrorists -- Khalid Mujahid, Tarik Kazami, Mohammad Akhtar and Sujjadurhaman -- would be brought up from Lucknow jail and produced before Additional District Judge (III) R K Gautam amid tight security tomorrow.
On May 28, Faizabad Bar Association minister Mansor Ilahi, one of the witness, who was cross questioned.
Testimony of another witness, Purshotam Pandey, would be recorded now. There were a total 33 witnesses in the case.
Accused's advocate Shoiab Ahmad was also given security cover in the last hearing.
Prior to the last hearing on May 28, some advocates had manhandled Mr Ahmad.
On November 23, 2007, contemporaneous blasts had roccked Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad court compounds.
According to casualty in Faizabad court, four people had lost their lives and 24 others sustained serious wounds.
