Reference rate fixed 23 paise higher at Rs 42.86 per USD

Mumbai, Jun 5 (UNI) Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US Dollar at Rs 42.86 per unit, 23 paise higher than the previous day's rate of Rs 42.63 per USD.

The reference rate for Euro was quoted 37 paise high at Rs 66.17 per unit against the previous day's Rs 65.80.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the rupee were quoted higher at Rs 83.5834 (83.4035) per Pound and Rs 40.62 (40.53) per 100 units respectively, an RBI release said here.
